Deep within the swamps of the Bayou, a Voodoo Priestess named Madame Pierre raised the body of a criminal name Dennis Swayback. After the ceremony, Dennis escaped and was captured by an MvM scientist who was searching for Madame Pierre and her creations. The name NED comes from his official classification of Non-Educational, meaning that he is incapable of being taught how to operate in the real world. Instead of being destroyed, he was reclassified as an MvM combatant.
